Signed up for MGo but never actually logged on.If you’re looking for an app to watch movies on your Apple TV, Flixster is a good choice. I do have a few TV shows and imported UK stuff I'm looking forward to watching if the Flixster app ever starts working for TV shows, but I don't think I'll use it much beyond that. BBY kind of missed the wrong boat by not getting a ROKU app up and running. They have quite a few free ones, so I mean to do it more often, but given that it's not on the ROKU, I just don't remember to fire up my other streaming devices. Like TT I just use it when I get a CN bonus feature to watch. I used to use CN in the old days of endless 70% off codes to watch TV shows like Young Justice but as soon as that was over, I rarely found my way back there. That feature on TT streamlines the process A LOT. For me I LOVE the + Playlist option as when I'm choosing from 3 or 4 titles to watch in an evening with some friends, even VUDU's interface can be super clunky. TT's been doing the Target exclusive bonus features with some of the UV redemptions on the site, the upshot of which I have been pulling up TT on my ROKU to watch the features with MoS, Percy Jackson, and now After Earth (a quite cool motion comic). I did just notice that the target Ticket app showed up on my Samsung apps, so I can give it a whirl.Īnyone use MGo? Roku is marketing the heck out of that. When it is all said and done, I guess Vudu is it. At least with Netflix, it will adjust on the fly.Īny of the other UV connected apps better? Then I end up watching the rest of the movie in HD rather than giving HDx a try a bit later. When my connection chokes, which is not often at all, I may get an error that forces me to go back and select HD quality instead of HDx. However this is annoying as the trailers are not available on the web site.Īdditionally, I also wish Vudu had an ability to degrade the quality automatically like Netflix does. I have found we are using the web site to search for something to watch and then the app on our BD player to watch on our screen. With a large collection, it would be great to be able to do it by genre like you can on the website. Also, you cannot view your collection by any criteria other than in reverse order of when it is added to your account. However this can be annoying if more than one of you are trying to watch the same movie in more than one sitting as one of you may lose your place. It also does a great job across devices to pick up where you leave off on a title. This is good when all of my family are trying to decide on something to watch and some of us are not familiar with a particular title. The interface is fast, has the ability to watch virtually every movie's trailer from the screen before watching the movie. app available for accessing my UV collection. I would like to start a thread to discuss the best search/watch/download, etc. I have Flixster and Target Ticket accounts as well as my Sony and Nook account are also linked to UV, but I have been using Vudu primarily for my viewing of UV content. ![]()
